Hi everyone!! Today I am going to share my first soup recipe meant for weight reduction.

DIET MUSHROOM SOUP |
I was having ample amount of Mushrooms and wanted to utilise it in preparing soup for weight loss throughout this week.
I took 4-5 whole Mushrooms and prepared 1 serving of this diet soup with easily available ingredients at home. I did not have thyme leaves, parsley leaves and coriander leaves, any of which are added for flavour and various health benefits. So skipped that part. We can also add cornflour for thickening the soup, but I did not use that too. Will prepare improved version of Diet Mushroom soup with more ingredients in future. Today I will share a simple form of this recipe.
Each one of the ingredients used in this preparation have weight reducing properties. They increase the metabolism and aid in digestion.
INGREDIENTS :
(1) Half teaspoon of Cumin seeds / Jeera
(2) 1 Spring Onion
(3) 1 Garlic clove
(4) small piece of Cinnamon stick
(5) 4 -5 Mushroom pieces
(6) Rock salt - as per taste required
(7) 1/4 teaspoon of Black pepper powder
(8) Olive oil / Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
(9) Water
Serves - 1 person
METHOD :
(1) Chop 4-5 Mushrooms into small pieces.
(2) Take 1 table spoon of Olive oil / vegetable oil in a kadhai / wok.
(3) Add half teaspoon of Cumin seeds / jeera to the warm oil. Add a small piece of Cinnamon stick / Dalchini.
(4) Add finely chopped garlic and allow it to turn golden brown.
(5) Add finely chopped Spring Onion. Saute for 2 minutes.
(6) Add 2 glass of water to the mixture and allow it to boil.
(7) To the boiling liquid add chopped Mushrooms and allow them to cook.
(8) Once the Mushrooms are cooked in 5 minutes, add rock salt and black pepper powder.
(9) Mix well and turn off the gas flame.
The Mushroom soup is ready. Discard the Cinnamon stick from the soup now.
(10) Serve it in a bowl and add half teaspoon of soy sauce. Although the soup taste equally good without it.
